Our History

The Pamlico County Training–Pamlico Central School has a rich history dating back to 1929. It was the first consolidated public school for African American students in Pamlico County, providing essential education and support during challenging times.

     We honor the legacy of Pamlico County Training–Pamlico Central School through reunions, historical preservation, education programs, and community projects that reflect our shared heritage. 


    No, anyone can support our mission. Donations are welcome from alumni, family, friends, and community supporters who believe in preserving our school’s legacy. 


    Your support helps fund community initiatives, reunion events, and preservation efforts including the future restoration and use of the original school property as a community space. 


    You can get involved by joining the Alumni Association, volunteering at events, helping with outreach, or contributing skills and resources to support our ongoing projects. We welcome all levels of involvement.
